Skills: User Research | Ergonomic Testing | Prototyping | Sketching | CAD | Rendering
Tools: 1-1 Interview & Testing | Bambu P1S | Traditional+Procreate | Solidworks | Keyshot
pain points with traditional DSLR:
Users can't reach zoom or focus control dials
Uneven weight distribution creates wrist pain
exploring grip solutions:
Looked into different grip shapes and hand positions
prototyping for testing:
3D printed a progression of concepts with variations in size, curvature, button positioning, and adapted through the process
iteration and learning:
Adjusted the size of the grip to fit smaller hands, and create more thumb-accessible features. Kept the DSLR key features and simplify the rest of the lens side of the camera to allow for more balanced weight distribution.
